The Balvenie: “Twilight of the Masters”

Role: Director & Editor / Creative Contributor

Agency: Momentum

The Challenge

The Balvenie sought a cinematic film celebrating craftsmanship at the twilight of a master’s career—without reducing the story to a single figure or location.

My Creative Contribution

Rather than focusing solely on a single craftsman, I expanded the creative vision to include master artisans from Japan and the US, alongside The Balvenie’s Malt Master—transforming the project into an international exploration of mastery.

The resulting film was cinematic enough for festival consideration and became the centerpiece of a cultural event hosted at a London museum. Working in collaboration with the agency and production partners, the film screening was paired with a curated whisky tasting, creating an experiential moment that earned media attention.

While I was not responsible for event logistics, I provided creative feedback across the experience to ensure cohesion between film, environment, and brand storytelling.
